Questions

Straight answers

The first one is the most important, so it is first.

Is this insurance?

No. It is a prepaid discount plan. You pay a monthly membership fee and get reduced prices on health services from participating providers.

There is no policy and no claim. You pay the member price yourself at the time of service, and nobody reimburses you afterwards. That is the difference, and it matters: this plan will not protect you from a catastrophic medical bill. If that is what you need, you need insurance.

You will be asked to acknowledge this in writing before you pay.

Is it really $79 for everyone?

Yes. $79 a month covers up to 5 people in one household. Adding a person does not change the price.

There are no age bands and no rate that varies by where you live. One household, one price.

Who counts as part of my household?

You, plus up to four more people — a spouse or partner, children, or a parent.

The household gets one card with one member number, and every name is on it. Anyone on the list can use the plan on their own — a provider scans the code and sees who is covered, so nobody has to bring you along.

When can I start using it?

Your card is issued as soon as your first payment clears, and the plan starts the same day.

Your identity documents are reviewed after that. If something needs correcting, someone will contact you — your plan does not stop while that happens.

Will you turn me down for a health condition?

No. There are no health questions and no medical underwriting. Nothing about your health history affects whether you can join or what you pay.

A discount plan prices access to services, not the risk of covering you.

Why do you need a photo ID for everyone?

Because the card covers the whole household, so every name printed on it has to be a real person who agreed to be there. One ID per person is how that is checked — the card is shared, the identity check is not.

Documents are encrypted before they are stored. Only a trained reviewer can open one, they see it through a link that expires in about a minute, and every single viewing is recorded with who looked and when.

How do I cancel?

In the app, under Billing. It takes a few taps and no phone call.

Cancelling stops all future payments. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for, then the cards go inactive.

How does the billing work?

$79 is charged on the same day each month until you cancel. You will see PARZERO Total Care on your statement.

Payment is set up on a secure checkout page outside the app. Card details never touch PARZERO — they go straight to the payment processor.

Where is the plan available?

Enrollment is open in PARZERO Total Care's registered states. The app checks your address during signup and will tell you if your state is not one of them yet.

How does a provider check my card?

They scan the QR code on it. That opens a page showing the plan name, whether the membership is active, and everyone the card covers — each as a first name and a last initial.

It lists everybody because one card covers the household, and the person at the desk needs to see that whoever is standing there is on it. It is not your surname, not a date of birth, not an address, and not a document — just enough to match against the ID they are already holding.

And because it checks live, a card that has lapsed reads as inactive even though the image still looks the same.

How do I see a doctor?

From the app. Pick which person on the plan the visit is for, say roughly what it is about, and choose up to three windows when you could take a call.

Someone rings you back to book the actual time, and the visit link arrives in the app. It is a callback rather than a live calendar because a clinician has to be free at the other end, and a slot that looks bookable but is not is worse than a phone call.

You can cancel a request from the app at any point before the visit.

What does the app do?

It holds your card, shows who is covered, and is where you ask for a telehealth visit. It also shows your payment history and lets you cancel.

Signing in is an email address and a password. Nothing is sold in the app.

Do I join on this website or in the app?

On this website. Enrolling a household means entering up to five people and photographing an ID for each one, which is a sit-down job.

The app is for afterwards: your card, who it covers, booking a visit, and your billing. You sign in there with the same email and password.
